Angel # 23 (spoilers for everything)

Angel # 23 will go on sale July 1st. If I'm making the right inference from the description I read ,it will focus on Gunn and Illyria as they team up to battle a threat from Spike:After The Fall.
Best wishes,
Scott

Interesting set-up for what should be an even more interesting mini-series.
I'm glad that they're going to be exploring Gunn's post-After The Fall psyche in depth. He was already suffering some guilt over what happened to Fred but he's nor probably reached Angelesque levels of guilt. It must be very bizarre to be him right now-most of his crimes have been erased yet he still remembers commiting them. ANd he's reminded of the one mistake that he can't fix every time he looks at Illyria.... He's really in a situation that nobody, even Angel has ever beein in before...
As is Illyria. Even though Fred's not in there, she's still haunted by Fred and always will be. In some ways, she'd be better off if Fred were in there-she's stuck trying to live up to the idealised mental picture two men who loved Fred had of her. I think the real Fred would have been more forgiving...
Unless I'm mistaken, Non is now in the asylum from SPike :Asylum.....
I liked Gunn's compassion for Non. It's actually a sign that his experiences may have changed Gunn for the better-there was a time when he was the least compassionate member of the Fang Gang towards the supernatural-in fact, that's why ANgel wanted him around. It looks like he's now more capable of forgiving other sinners...
Best wishes,
Scott
