An email account has been set up to take questions in advance of the chat, for those who can not be in attendance, or would like to queue up ahead of time to ask their question during the chat:

Email to "questions" AT "whedonage.com"

Please include the following (along with your question, natch!)

* Your name (or moniker you prefer to be known as)
* location
* and (if not clear from your name) your gender, please.

Also let us know whether you'll be at the chat -- so the moderators will know to look for you.

Questions from non-attendees during the chat will be allocated time, at regular intervals.

Just added on an informal poll to gauge who may be able to make it to the chat. I've also split off some extraneous comments from this news item.

In anticipation of Sunday's chat, here are some great recent Felicia Day interviews to check out:

* http://www.patrickrothfuss.com/blog/2008/05/interviewing-felica.html - Author Patrick Rothfuss's excellent interview (5/5)
* http://blog.epicfu.com/2008/07/fu-of-the-week-felicia-day.html - EpicFu (Fu of the week 7/7)
* http://geek.ravenkai.com/archives/28 - UberSciFiGeek (7/12)
* http://www.whedonopolis.com/articles/felicia-day-interview-2008.html - Whedonopolis (7/14)

These should help in coming up with new questions for her to be posed during the chat -- which we're needing more of!

You can post your questions here (if already a member) or email them to "questions" at "whedonage.com"

As a reminder:

Please include the following (along with your question, natch!)

* Your name (or moniker you prefer to be known as)
* location
* and (if not clear from your name) your gender, please.

Also let us know whether you'll be at the chat -- so the moderators will know to look for you.

A FAQ for the upcoming chat event:

1) The chat will begin at 10am PDT (5:00PM UTC). To see that in your local time, check:
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/convert_time_in_US-CA.aspx

2) To enter the chat, you must be registered-- you will see a "Chat" button appear on the menu bar. (Or click: http://www.whedonage.com/index.php?action=chat)

3) Barring unforeseen demand, the chat room will be initially limited to 40 participants in order to manage the size and speed. In case of a Dr. Horrible-style melt-down of the server, an alternative chat room has been set up, to try to handle the load. If by some (yikes!) chance the server is inaccessible, my humblest apologies, but we're SOL.

4) A transcript will be provided a few days after the chat.

5) To keep it organized and fair, participants will need to queue up to ask questions. To do so, they need to send a message to the designated moderator.

6) At the start of the chat and every 15 minutes, a reminder instruction will be made for participants to submit their names and questions to the mod; participants will be called on by name to give their question/comments.

7) Participants are asked to be on good behavior for our guest.

8) Those failing to follow decorum may be warned or removed from the chat room.

Thanks, folks -- have fun!

For new users; does one just click on the chat button? Also: It seems really empty for something happening in 15 minutes...

Registered users just click the chat button. And you're a mite early -- it starts in an hour (10AM PDT) smile

Much love to everyone who made it into the chat -- and apologies to those who weren't able to join. We managed to overload the server with 40+ chatters, so I had to reduce the capacity of the chat room to 30. After a brief six-minute intermission, we were back and stable for the remainder of the chat time.

Look for the transcript in the next few days.

Thanks again!
